TaxSnap terms
Updated: 14 August 2026
Prototype service
TaxSnap is a prototype provided by Benjamin Aruede for evaluation. Features may change, fail or be withdrawn. Account and cloud features work only when a deployment has been configured with Supabase.
Estimates, not tax advice
TaxSnap provides an indicative estimate for a basic England, Wales or Northern Ireland sole-trader scenario. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice and does not prepare or submit a tax return.
Verify results and keep records
OCR, VAT calculations and categorisation can be wrong. Check every amount, date, VAT value, business purpose and HMRC category against the original receipt. Keep the original records for the period HMRC requires; TaxSnap exports do not replace statutory records or a submitted return.
Accounts and data
You are responsible for securing your account credentials and device. Do not share an account or upload data you do not have authority to process. Export important data regularly. Signing out does not clear local receipts, and clearing local data does not by itself delete cloud records.
Billing
The committed Checkout integration is Stripe test mode only. It does not accept real payment, create a production subscription or grant promised Pro entitlements. Production pricing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms have not been launched.
Acceptable use
Do not use TaxSnap unlawfully, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, upload malware, or store card details, credentials or other unnecessary sensitive data in receipt fields.
Availability and liability
The prototype is provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability, cloud backup, background sync or fitness for a particular filing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or affects mandatory consumer rights.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory law that applies where you live. Questions can be sent to benaiwod@gmail.com.
